A Moulton man got off much too easy this week when his alleged victim found it "too stressful" to testify. In 2017, Andrew Steven Cooper, 34, was accused of sexually groping a ten year-old girl. When his case finally came to trial in Morgan County, seven years later, his victim did not feel able to testify.
Cooper pleaded guilty to harassment. He received a six-month suspended sentence and 12 months probation. His conviction is a misdemeanor. We can't imagine that many felt justice was served.
