Youth Football Leader Arrested on Second Degree Rape Charge

 



Press Release: On Sunday April 21st Loretto Police Department received information that a statutory rape had occurred between a local male adult and a 14-year-old female juvenile from Kentucky. Over the next 3 days an investigation was conducted with the help of our District Attorney’s Office and the Kentucky State Police.

On Wednesday April 24th, an indictment for Aggravated Statutory Rape was returned by a Lawrence County Grand Jury against Jason Cromwell. Mr. Cromwell has also been removed from his position as the president of the Loretto Youth Football.


Note: Cromwell is 43; his victim was 14. In Tennessee, Second Degree Rape is referred to as Statutory Rape.
