At one time, the Tuscumbia pallet company was being considered to help foster released sex offenders. Now it's in the news again - this time as the scene of what's being called a domestic murder.

Victor Manuel Funez-Cruz was reportedly in a relationship with his victim Edith Margarita Martinez. Authorities say the 59 year-old Funez used multiple weapons to end his girlfriend's life on Tuesday.

Funez is currently in the Colbert County Jail held without bond. (Advice to the ladies: If he looks like a loser, he probably is one.)
