Ashli Brianne Perry is wanted in Colbert County on charges of Bail Jumping and Failure to Appear in a Second Degree Assault case. Two years ago, Perry, then 24, and her live-in boyfriend Major Julius Rice assaulted a Sheffield neighbor who was in her 50s. The brutal attack was videoed and placed on Facebook, outraging many in the community at the depravity of Perry and Rice who were the parents of an infant later confiscated by the state.
After the indictments, Rice was charged with First Degree Assault and Perry with Second Degree. Gadsden native Ashli was on the run for weeks, but was finally captured and allowed to make bond. Now she is a no-show for her trial. Rice soon violated the terms of his bond and is currently in the Colbert County Jail awaiting trial.
