Steven Canaday Produced Child Porn with Local Victim

 

A Florence man has been arrested for allegedly producing local child porn. Steven Wayne Canaday was arrested at his home this morning after an investigation turned up videos of a local child in sexual settings.

The 62 year-old Canaday's last address of record is 538 Highland Circle in Florence. He has previously lived in St. Florian and Panama City, Florida. He faces charges of:

* 25 counts of possession, and possession with intent to disseminate, obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 years of age.

* 25 counts of dissemination or public display of obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 years of age.

* Five counts of production of obscene matter containing visual depiction of person under 17 years of age.

Canaday's bond has been set at $1,625,000.00, and he remains in the Lauderdale County Detention Center at this time. If convicted, the alleged Florence porn king could face a life sentence.
