Peyton Nicole Gann Arrest in Connection with Infant Death

Update at 10:00 a.m.: Miss Gann, 23, is free on bond. The correct spelling of her first name is Payton. The deceased infant, still not identified, resided in Mississippi.

Peyton Nicole Gann has been arrested in Franklin County in connection with a death at Tiny Tigers Day Care in Red Bay. At this time, the Golden, Mississipi, resident is charged only with relating false information to law enforcement. Gann is a former resident of Vina and a single mother with one child, according to her social media bio.

DHR is conducting an investigation into both Gann and the circumstances surrounding the child's demise. According to authorities, the unnamed infant was found unresponsive while in Gann's care on Wednesday. The four month-old infant was declared dead upon arrival at medical facilities. More charges may be filed after a scheduled autopsy.

As of today, the infant's identity has not been released. We will update this story as more information becomes available.

  1. this is not true.... the arrest wasnt connected to the investigation on the death of the baby

  2. We stated the cause of her arrest. Using logic, there would have been no investigation if the child hadn't died. Both incidents are therefore connected.

  3. She was arresting for false reporting to the police about the incident. I’d say that’s related.
